RockBack was founded in October 2016 by Simon and Emma Sydenham. Our lives have both been impacted by bad backs.
Simon has recovered from two back operations (L5/S1 micro-discectomies) and is now able to manage his back issues though a range of lifestyle changes including regular walking and exercise.
Emma’s life has been significantly impacted by both Simon and her father having major back surgeries. As a result she is passionate about the maintenance of a healthy back – active sitting while working is one of her strategies.
We are acutely aware of the positive impact that a comfortable sitting position can make when experiencing back pain. Finding a comfortable chair for use at home and in the office is part of the adaptation of our lifestyle.
We are based in Berkshire and have three young daughters. This is our first business venture.
